STATEMENT
My work is a fusion of artistic styles and mediums, absorbing and reworking such diverse sources as abstract expressionism and ready-mades. The multiple sources are assimilated into a visual language of painting/assemblage where the 'ready-made' electrical circuit boards are embedded in the abstract and neo-expressionist painting. I am blurring boundaries between two dimensional and three dimensional form while marrying the organic to the inorganic. My exuberant palette and reflective materials are integrally tied to my content about optimism, technology and our symbiotic and co-dependent future. The circuit boards symbolically ignite ecstatic color fields of paint.
