EXPOSURE • A Ceres Gallery Exhibition Opportunity
Ceres Gallery presents 10 simultaneous exhibitions each week at the end of the year, in the Ceres Gallery 2000+ sq ft premier gallery space in the heart of the Chelsea NYC arts district. Artists are invited to apply for space for their own unjuried art exhibition featuring their two or three-dimensional work.
Each artist can fully avail themselves of approximately 12-17 running feet of wall space (depending on which wall they are assigned) with 10+ foot ceilings OR approximately 80-100 sq. ft. of floor space. Each week will consist of 1 artist with work on stands/floor and 9 artists with work on one of nine pre-designated wall spaces.
Artists are entirely responsible for delivering, installing, and de-installing their own work.
Work can either be for sale or not for sale. Ceres does not take a commission on the sale of work.
In 2026, Ceres Gallery will be hosting three weeks of exhibitions beginning on Tuesday, December 1, 2026 Each week will have an opening reception on the first Thursday of the show, from 6 – 8pm unless otherwise informed.
Reservations are limited to 40 artists on a first-come/ first-served basis. A fee payment is required to confirm participation.

GALLERY HOURS: 12 to 6 pm. Tues-Sat. Thurs evening openings 6-8 pm. (Thanksgiving week opening, Sat, 3-5pm)
No gallery sitting required. Artists 18 years of age and older only.
Sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, collage, mixed-media and photography are acceptable.
FINANCIAL INFO:
Ceres will reimburse artists within 45 days of the end of their exhibition. If sales were paid to Ceres by credit card the amount will be net of credit card use fees. Sales paid by check will be written to the artist’s name
EXPENSES: $300 payable in advance to reserve your space. (Thanksgiving week $200)
There are no additional fees unless previously notified.

ARTIST FRIENDS EXPO • A Ceres Gallery Exhibition Opportunity
Ceres Gallery annually offers an Exhibition Opportunity for ARTIST FRIENDS to exhibit their artwork for one month in the 2,000+ square foot premier gallery space in the heart of the Chelsea art district in New York City. Sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, collage, mixed-media and photography are acceptable.
ARTIST FRIENDS of all genders are invited to present one wall-based artwork or sculpture (subject to size limitations), along with a small additional work, within a collectively realized exhibition running for four weeks. The exhibition is non-juried, reflecting Ceres’ ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and generative environment for artistic exchange.
As a not-for-profit gallery, Ceres sustains its programming through the support of its community. Contributions from ARTIST FRIENDS directly enable the continuation of a space dedicated to the visibility, development, and critical engagement of artists.
Participation in the annual Ceres Gallery Friends Expo is open to those who wish to support Ceres through a $200 donation and submission of a completed donation form.

Invitation To Apply For Membership
You are welcome to apply for membership in Ceres, a non-profit alternative cultural center dedicated to promoting women in the arts. The gallery consists of two exhibition spaces: a main gallery for Full and National Full Members and an adjoining gallery for Affiliate and National Affiliate Members.
Full Membership Full Members are responsible for monthly dues of $250 and a non-refundable initiation fee of $600 upon entering the gallery. Full Members exhibit in the Gallery I and are included in group and invitational shows. Full Members are also required to attend monthly meetings and perform an ongoing gallery task. Each Full Member is required to work as a gallery sitter twelve times a year – or – to pay $60 in lieu of each sitting. Full Members have full voting privileges.
National Full Membership National Full Members are responsible for monthly dues of $340 and a non-refundable initiation fee of $600 upon entering the gallery. National Full Members are included in group and invitational shows. They are not required to attend monthly meetings or perform an ongoing gallery task and their monthly dues include payment of sitters to staff the gallery. They receive minutes of meetings and can vote for officers, new members and by-law changes only if they consistently attend meetings.
Affiliate Membership Affiliate Members are responsible for monthly dues of $150 and a non-refundable initiation fee of $400 upon entering the gallery. Affiliate Members exhibit in Gallery II and are included in group and invitational shows. Affiliate Members are also required to attend monthly meetings and perform an ongoing gallery task critical to the running of the gallery. Affiliate Members are required to be gallery sitter six times a year –or- to pay $60 in lieu of each sitting (or $30 per month). Affiliates receive minutes of meetings and can vote for officers, new members and by-law changes.
National Affiliate Membership National Affiliate Members are responsible for monthly dues of $200 and a non-refundable initiation fee of $400 upon entering the gallery. National Affilate members exhibit in Gallery II and are included in group and invitational shows. They are not required to attend monthly meetings or perform an ongoing gallery task and their monthly dues include payment of sitters to staff the gallery. They receive minutes of meetings and can vote for officers, new members and by-law changes only if they consistently attend meetings.
The solo exhibition cycle ranges from 24 to 36 months. Each member is entitled to a four-week solo exhibition during that time. Every member is entitled to participate in the Annual Group Show each year in which they do not have a solo exhibition.
All members are responsible for 3 additional assessments per year: $100 for Gallery Refurbishment, $50 for the Annual Brochure and $200 for our participation on the Artsy website.
